Ok so i did it! While Brady was sleeping, my husband was out with his daughter skating, so i took out my tripod and played with the digital camera. So i had fun doing a whole bunch of self-portraits of my pregnancy, and i'm having alot of fun tweeking them with Picasa (very simple program to use) here are just a few that i had time to touch up.

Well, I had my doctor's appointment this afternoon and i'm happy to say that things are pregressing well. I am now 2cm dilated and still 50% effaced. My next appointment is next friday the 5th (1 day before my due date) I don't forsee any problems until then, but i think the baby is getting a little anxious. It has been doing gymnastics in my belly since last night, so who knows maybe i'll be a little early. At least x-mas is past. I've gained 22 lbs so far and even though i got the gastro 5 days ago, i still gained 1 lbs this week. Oh well! Let's say it's water retention... i am starting to notice that my hands and feet are a little more puffy than usual. I have to harasse my husband tonight for him to take a picture of my BIG belly, we missed 2 pics already and i'm not too happy about that! The other option is that i try and take it myself with the timer on the camera and my camera stand. Maybe i'll try that tomorrow.

I've been tired lately, for the past few days i've been naping in the afternoon when Brady goes down. I wanna scrapbook but i feel like i've got no inspiration, i don't have any really good pictures of Brady (which is usually my main subject for my pages) he just moves around too much OR he wants to be behind the camera taking the picture so that doesn't work well either. I have some pictures of Cuba (and really nice papers) and of Paris/Barcelona trip that i should scrap, but i jusst don't know how to get started. I'll have to get my friend Josee to come visit one day and help me out (travel pages were her specialty until her daughter arrived)

Now's the perfect time for scrapping since it's all re-runs of my shows on TV. Too bad i don't feel the energy. :-(

This will be a short post. on friday i had my appointment at the doctor's i'm still 1cm dilated and 50% effaced, sounds good to me!

On friday my husband came down with the gastro. Since 1am last night, i've had it as well, up until 8am this morning i couldn't even hold down a sip of water. All i can say is i can't wait for Brady to go down for his nap (...in 45 min) so the i can get my ass back in bed, Oh and in case you're wondering, my husband started having diarhea again during the night, he got up with B this morning, went out and got me some Gatorade when i was able to keep down some liquid and he went back to bed about 1 hour ago.

So with all that, i'd like to wish you all a Merry X-Mas and a Happy New Year!

I found this icicle box template on a forum and i absolutly fell in love with it. So much so that i made 14 of them in a very short period of time. I put Lindt chocolates in them and my husband will give them to his office employees

it's almost x-mas!!!

Well it's almost X-mas and i had told myself that i'd try and rest after i stopped work. That kinda hasn't happened yet. I've been baking cookies, pies and tourtieres. I've been scrapbooking a little (which is more than usual) and of course i've been finishing up my x-mas shopping.

Yesterday was fun and relaxing. I went to visit my friend Josee (JosieSensi) another scrapbooker. I had lots of fun, we had lunch and i finally met in person her 2 month old daughter Maeva, that is sooooo cute and adorable. We chit-chatted all day and it was nice not to be running around. We'll definetly have to do that again.

Today i went to Tyco to have lunch with Danielle. It's nice seeing the people that are still working there. I also went to Fairview to pick up my husband's Kernal BBQ popcorn. I tell you he's spoiled. I go all the was across the island every x-mas to get him some. (there's no Kernels on the south shore) And of course i stopped by Scrapbook Centrale (double stamp day!!!) Well i needed some rub-on monograms to finish up the book i did for Brady's educatrice. It's finally finished and i hope she'll like it. Later tonight i'll scan it and post the pictures.

Yesterday was a nice day. My husband had the day off, so we brought Brady to daycare, went out to breafast and caught a movie (Casino Royale, very good btw) It was really nice to spend some time with him outside the house, especially since he'd been travelling so much in the past months.

Well no luck on the shut eye thing, i didn't get back to sleep until 3 or 3h30 am. Hopefully this won't become a regular thing.

NOT again....

Oh boy, I hope tonight's a fluke and this won't become regular. It's 1 in the morning and i'm up with heartburn. With Brady's pregnancy this is something that happened on an almost daily basis during the last 2 months. Hopefully this is only because i ate 2 toast right before bed.

little virus update, my husband fixed it really quick this time. He figured since i'd be home i'd probably want to use the computer....smart man.

I'll soon post some pregnancy pictures....so don't despair.

pregnancy update

I had my latest doctor's appointment yesterday, and good news everything is fine. I'm at 35 1/2 weeks and I'm 1cm dialated and effaced at 50%.....don't panic! The same thing happened with my first pregnancy, i was like that for 4 weeks.

On another note, Dave has been gone to Winnipeg again this week (he wasn't supposed to be gone, but problems arrised that could lose them the contract so he had to go). Since he was supposed to be home all week i had booked my nail appointment on monday and my hairdresser appointment on wednesday. Well thank heavens my dad lives nearby and that he was on vacation this week, he was able to come bb-sit Brady. Tonight we're gonna go have supper at his new apartment and this week-end he's bb-sitting Brady because we have Dave's x-mas party in Tremblant and we're sleeping there on Saturday.....yeah!!! i'll get to sleep in on Sunday morning!

I went festive for my coloring, i got my regular blond highlights and i added some Fushia...I just love it, but unfortunetly it doesn't last very long.

Oh yeah and we have a virus in our computer at home! Trojan virus! Last time that happened we had to reformat the whole hardrive and i was out of a computer for almost a month! That can't happened i won't be working anymore, how will i keep in contact with people!!!!

Oh Christmas tree...

finally, it's the first week-end of December. The time that i put up my x-mas tree and decorations. It took me all afternoon, but they're up. Only the outside balcony is left, it was just too cold to do that today. Maybe tomorrow?

Other good news is that i'm starting my last week of work on monday. After that maternity leave, i can't wait. I need to rest up before this bb gets here AND I need to start getting things ready for him/her. Wash all the little pj's from Brady that are in a box and arrange the dresser. At this point in time for Brady everything was done by the time i was 7 months pregnant. Now i'm at 35 weeks (8 1/2 months) and nothing is done. That's stressing me out a little.

One thing at a time....

What a scare!

Boy I had such a scare this morning. On my way out of the house i fell down the stairs of porch. They were icy and I was being careful but my foot slipped anyways and i went down 7 steps. Thank heavens I wasn't holding Brady's hand at the time, i would've brought him down with me. So Needless to say i was a little...ok alot, freaked out! I didn't know if the bb was gonna be ok or not, so i got into my car with Brady, on the way to the daycare i called the hospital and told me to come on in and they'd check to make sure the bb's heartbeat was fine and that it was moving well and make sure i had no contractions. Dave is on his last business trip this week so i called my dad to see if he could come with me. He met me at the daycare and we went to the hospital. Everything is fine, nothing to worry about. If by any chance i was to start bleeding or having painfull contractions i have to call the hospital back. I decided to stay home the rest of the day and rest. I rented 2 movies (the Stone family and Ice Age 2)

Dave was already uneasy about leaving for another trip this week, this will make him feel even worst, but there's nothing he could've done about it, i probably would've fallen anyways.

So far the only consequence to this whole thing is a MEGA bruise on the side of my left thigh. I think i fell on my left bum cheek and then on the side of my left thigh. It happened so fast, next thing i knew i was at the bottom of the stairs looking up at Brady.

I'm just glad there's nothing wrong.

halloween 06

Ok so i'm little late in posting the halloween pictures...but that's me the constant procrastinator.
So we went to quebec city for the annual halloween party at Emilie's house (dave's daughter). Since i'm pregnant i didn't know what to dress up as so i used my makeup artist talents to paint my belly into a pumpkin. Dave just put on one of my dresses. He'll kill me if he knew i posted this picture... :-) and Brady didn't want to keep his costume on at the party but he did wear it to go trick or treating.

crop 'till you drop!

On saturday I finally went to an all-day crop at Scrapbook Centrale. I had lots of fun with Annick, Tamara, Kris, Josie and all the girls. I met some new ones which was nice also. Josie showed up in the morning with her 1 mo old daughter, Maeva and her boyfriend. Maeva is very adorable. Josie made 2 great pages of her..obviously (that's what every new mom does)

I am very happy with what i've got done, i managed to make my x-mas cards (about a dozen).

I also altered a luggage tag that was sent to me by Nestle Baby for my luggage to the hospital

and i made 2 8x8 x-mas pages of Brady. I thought i'd have trouble making the 8x8 format, but it was so easy and fun! And let's face it the holidays are a festive time full of lights and sparkle, so not surprising that there's sparkles, sparkles and more sparkles on theses two pages. My new favorite product right now....Stickles! (it's a sparkle glue)

update on pregnancy

Hi had my doctor's appointment today (32 1/2 weeks) and everything is doing really well, a few weeks ago i lost secretions that were part of the mucus plug, but she said that was OK as long as there was no blood. The baby is head down, which is good. It doesn't mean that it can't change positions later on, but i have faith. Brady was positioned head down the whole pregnancy. And i didn't forget my little recorder this time. I had bought a little recorder especially made for scrapbooking, so i recorded the heart beat and put it on my ultrasound page...i know it's pink and i don't know the sex of the bb, but lets say the page is for me and i wanted pink!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Ok so i'm late, it was last tuesday (nov 7th) that was a regular day, i was so tired that morning because Brady had been waking up at 5am for the pas few days, that i had totally forgot it was my birthday that day. I did get a cake at supper, but that was it, i had already got my gift early (a remote car starter). You see it was my 30th b-day, so i told my husband that he better be doing something big for my birthday. Well last week he tells me we're going to the restaurant with his parents for a family supper..'cause we don't have family suppers often enough. I asked him if he asked my dad to go ('cause that's my only family here) and he says NO. Well that made me a little upset, ok my dad was working at midnight that day so he probably would've said no anyways, but still he could've asked, right?! So we get to the restaurant (Baton Rouge, 'cause i wanted ribs) On our way to the restaurant, he tells me that we were gonna be joined by a few other people, but they were gonna be late, you know traffic and everything. I though maybe it was my friends Michelle and Julie. Then at the restaurant he starts telling me that my friends were taking me out after supper. He was gonna go home with Brady and put him to bed and i was going out, where? He had no idea, my friends had organized it. I was happy but intrigued because he didn't tell me which friends. Then he calls the mystery person and says : you're on the 412? so automatically i thought of my best friend Tamara that's in Ottawa!
The way that were sitting, my back is to the entrance of the restaurant, but there are mirrors in front of me, all of a sudden i see my sister behind me! then my mom next to her!
My husband, the sweetheart that he is had flown in my sister from Saskatoon, SK and my mom from Fredericton, NB. And guess who picked them up at the aeroport? My dad. so it really was a family supper for my b-day.

ok I finally updated my other blog (http://igagnon76.spaces.live.com/) the one with all my scrapbook pages. I've made a few cards and altered notebooks lately so i posted them there.

I'll be back soon with an updated pregnancy picture and a few pictures of my son at halloween and some other ones we took at trampoline this week-end. He absolutly loves the trampoline and i got some good pics for a page i'll have to work on at the crop on Nov 18th.
