Claudia & Co. guest designer

the time is finally here!  My spot as guest designer for the monthly challenge over at Claudia & Co.  you can see the challenge here.

Here's the card i created with the color red.  I gave it to my son who started kindergarten this year, he really liked it.  He just finished his first week and i am glad to say it went well and that he listened (although that could change in time, but i'm crossing my fingers)

stamp: Claudia & co (Ethan lollipop)
ink: copics (oops, i lost my list of colors used...sorry), signo white pen, copic multiliner

PWCO free for all project

My friend Michelle is giving birth on September 9th with her first boy after having 2 gorgeous girls.  I'm lending her some of my stuff that i had kept and her sister in law gave her some hand-me downs too but sometimes it's nice to have something new.  I decided to make her a few onesies, they will all be decorated with material but i made one with this, totally perfect, stamp from the RAM collections.

i stamped the image directly on the onesie using Staz-On ink, it didn't go on as dark as i was hoping but i worked with it.  Now obviously copics and Staz-On are not a good mix so you have to be super careful, the copics will make your Staz-On ink bleed so you have to be careful.  i found the best way to color and not drag black from the outline was to tap with my copic, just as if i was trying to color in dots.  because it's on material, the colors bleed a little so you don't need to go all the way to the edge.
To make the clouds i used a post it that i cut in the shape of a cloud and i just used one of my copics and feathered around the edge.
BTW, blender doesn't really work that well on material....

what's in it?
onesie from JOE bought at Loblaws (i love JOE, the quality is excellent!)
ink: Staz-On, copics (0-Y02-YG06-YR65-BG10-BG15-BG45-R02-R17-R20-RV13-E33)
other: Post-it

hope you give it a try, it's a super quick and easy gift to make for the arrival of a new baby

Bellarific friday

Hi everyone!

the month is coming soon to a close and with that comes start of the school year and the end of the search of the new Stamping Bella gal!  I am really crossing my fingers that it'll be me!!!

this week's challenge was a sketch

here's my take on it.

what's in it:
cs: Bella's bestest paper
pp: Basic Grey (Oliver collection)
stamp: Toby is two by Mo Manning (in rubbah at Stamping Bella's)
ink: memento,versacolor, copic
other: pop dots, nestabilities, sentiment by TLC creations

here's a close up of the sentiment.  I didn't use the one that comes with the stamp, not that it's not cute, but i downloaded this freebie from TLC creations a while ago and think it's absolutely adorable.

Bellarific friday - paper piecing

So Stamping Bella is looking for a new Bella Babe....i would LOVE to be a BABE!!!!
When i went to Stamping Bella in June (it was awesome meeting Emily and Dena) for the Donna Downey workshop, i purchased many stamps.  And of course i've barely used them but since i've been taking part in the Bellarific friday challenges i've been using my SB stamps a lot more.

So for this card, i've actually gone back to one of my first loves, BoBunny double dot cardstock.  When i first started making cards a year or so ago I would use the double dots CS for the base of my cards, i just love the look of it.  I also just purchased some Echo Park papers and they are fantastic, such bright colors!

What's in it?
cs: BoBunny, Prism
pp: Echo Park
stamp: Stamping Bella - Cuppa tea
ink: memento, distress ink (broken china), colorbox chalk ( lime pastel), copics (E0000-E31-E35-BG0000-BG93-W1-multiliner), Atyou spica (buttermilk, lemon)
other: pop dots, nestabilities, sentiment made on my computer (font: a little pot)

TESC122-have a rockin' birthday!-CPS177-butterflies

I created this card for the my friend's daughter.  She'll be turning 11 this week-end.  I've known her since she was 3 yrs old and she is growing up into such a beautiful girl.  she's also into card making so for her birthday she will be getting a could of pizza boxes full of paper and embellies from me.  I'm cleaning out my stuff and even though it's not new, some papers have never been touched.
I hope she'll like her "new" stuff!

I used some old American Craft papers i had lying around and had never used.  the stamp is from Hannah Stamps, i bought this one when they went out of business and i got it for dirt cheap; i thought it might be good for tweens.   the rhinestones are from the dollar store and they are lime green, i went over them with a copic (BG45) to get closer to the teal from the leopard print paper.
I also used the sketch #122 from Taylored Expressions and a rub-on from Hambly.
what's in it?
pp: American Craft
stamp: Hannah stamps
ink: memento, versacolor, copics (0-C3-C5-C7-RV13-Y17-BG23-BG45-E31-E35)
other: Hambly rub-on, dollar store gems, pop dots

ok, one more challenge.  CPS-card positioning systems #177
this one is for my friend's mother in law's birthday.
what's in it?
cs: bazzill
pp: Jellybean Soup, October Afternoon
stamp: Martha Stewart
ink: memento, copic (YR65, YR04, YR20, BG45, BG49) white signo pen\
other: ribbon (fabric store)

Bellarific Friday - Bella or Stella

for this week's Bellarific friday challenge we had to use either a Bella or a Stella stamp
I'd love to tell you which copics were used but i lost my post-it with my colors, i had colored this image back in June.  I paired it up with some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers, oval and large scallop oval nesties, versacolor inks, Doodlebug letter stickers, some kaiser kraft pearls and some AC ribbon (i think it's AC, correct me if i'm wrong)

thanks for dropping by,

Halloween is hoppin' in July

Tiddly Inks is having an early Halloween blog hop.  I have quite a few of their images but never get around to using them. So here's my chance!
oh and if you didn't come to my blog from Tiddly Inks but would like to check out the other hoppers here where you can see them: Tiddly Inks challenge blog

I actually had a little accident and got a piece of the paper torn behind her head and i didn't have time to fix it properly, but i think that i will do a few more "distressed" patches on purpose this time.  And if it doesn't look good, well i'll just chuck it.

Not to toot my own horn but i do love the coloring on her, especially on the skirt ruffles.
cs: prism
pp: American Craft
stamp: Tiddly Inks-everyday princess
ink: Copics (sorry i lost the post-it that had my colors written on it)
other: Viva decor pen, sparkled plastic dots (super old from my stash, i no longer have the packaging), Zig pen

thanks for stopping by and i hope you're enjoying the hop!

Bellariffic friday and photos

tomorrow is Bellariffic friday at Stamping Bella's and i am trying to participate more since i have a ton of stamps (i bought a whole bunch, not just 2 or 3, when i was there for the Donna Downey workshops...yes i will post some of my projects soon...just have to finish them)

Emily was away in Europe so the last challenge was given two weeks ago and it was a sketch so i made two cards with it.
the first is the teacher card you saw yesterday

the second i finished this morning.  I used one of Mo's images that was turned to rubber with Stamping Bella, her name is Cinderella of course.  i  modified the sketch a little, flipped it to the side but kept the email right side up, does that make sense?
also entered in the Digital Pencil Too challenge #37 - anything goes!

on to the photos.

tuesday was Brady's last day of school, here's one of the only pictures i took because my battery died.  I used a free Polaroid action i found called Polaroid generator by RawImage

while he was at school Charlie and I visited a friend, we were outside and Charlie had a great time blowing bubbles, he was pretty good too!

this one was modified using Photology 2.0 from Emily Powers
which one do you like better?

well that's it for today!  see you soon with more cards!
Oh! i almost forgot... tomorrow i'll be picking a random commenter from the blog hop to win 2 stamps from the release so you still have time to enter!
