winter festival
Yesterday i went to the Chambly "Fete des Neiges" (winter festival) with some friends and the boys. We slid down the hill once, Brady with my friend Julie and me with Charlie. Brady was scraed, it went too fast. Charlie looked like he had a blast. Other than sliding there really wasn't much else to do. So we all went to Julie's house. Her boyfriend made a small rink in the backyard for their 3 yr old daughter. Brady has a pair of blades that you tie onto the boots. He had so much fun, he was out there at least 1 hour with the dads playing hockey (ok well, hitting the puck) he had a blast. We're definetly gonna have to do this again. Here are a few pics ( i didn't have my camera for the sliding part, but got some good shots of Brady skating) oh yeah, let me just explain about the pink mittens... his brown mittens were soaked through, so we had to borrow a pair from Lia, hence the pink mits.

Just Cre8
Just Cre8 is looking to add 1-2 designers to their design team. Submissions deadline is Feb 12th. I sent mine in this morning. I'm really crossing my fingers on this one.
My friends, cross your fingers for me too, please...
I'm honored to have been chosen by Nathalie for the Feb scraplift a member challenge on Scrapbook Centrale, check it out here.
Here's a pic of Charlie i took this morning, he's just too cute. It's really hard to get a picture of Brady these days, he's just never still!

On another note; the Superbowl is tonight. Are you rooting for the Patriots!? I know we are!
go Pats go!!!

Charlie is ONE!!!
yup! my baby turned 1 yesterday~ it's kind of melancholic, he's not a baby anymore. And we won't be having any more kids so it's just not right that he's growing up so fast. He's got 5 teeth! He's starting to cruise (walking while holding onto things), doing simple things when asked (like putting a toy in a bag) and he's giving kisses now! that's my favorite!
Here are a few pictures of him enjoying his cake on Saturday. And of course i made his cake, Brady decided what kind of cake it was gonna be. I asked him a few weeks ago what kind of cake we should make for Charlie and he said: "hmmmm...a sheep" Me: "what color?" and here i was really hoping he wasn't gonna say white, because i had blue/lavender in mind. He said: "Blue" Yeah! i'm glad he was on the same wavelength as mom! So here are pics of the cake and Charlie enjoying it. Tomorrow he's getting his vaccins....loads of fun there too! sarcasm...

i decided to take part in this wonderful challenge that Scrappin-Barb is organizing on the SC forum. Every month of 2008 we will have a different questionnaire and we have to do a layout about ourselves using these questions. Here's my first layout.

Here's the journaling
journaling:
1. My current occupation is: customer service coordinator at Fruits & Passion
2. My dream job would be: photographer
3. If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be: how about the Caribbean, I heard today on the radio that there might be talk of Turks and Caicos being considered the 11th province of Canada…I’ll move there!
4. If I could have lunch with someone famous, it would be: Drew Barrymore, she seems like such a fun and easy going person.
5. The best birthday gift I could receive would be: time for me (no explanation needed)
6. If I had a million dollars, the first thing I'd buy would be: well I’d pay off my debts first then I’d buy a trip around the world and a new camera bag so I could bring it with me.
7. When I was a teenager, I thought that by my age I'd be: well I thought I’d have a career, I don’t consider what I do a career, it’s just a job.
8. The goals I'm currently working on are: getting published as a Scrapbooker and I’d love to make a DT in the year 2008
9. When I'm 80, I hope to I am doing this: well I hope that I’m healthy and able to travel and visit my kids and grandkids, and by that time I hope to be a photographer
10. The person I'd like to be more like is: no one in particular, but I would love to be a more patient person and not always getting angry so easily about the little things.

So with the holiday season almost over i thought i should come and post an update on how we're all doing. My mom was down from NB for X-mas she arrived on Sat the 22 and left on the 26th. It was really great having her here, i don't remember the last time she was here for x-mas. The kids were a little spoiled by Santa this year, they got lots of toys that make noise! lucky me...
As for tonight (New Years Eve) it's like any other day in this household, we'll probably just watch a movie and go to bed. On this note i leave you to some pictures.

Oh yeah! i almost forgot, Thank you Erin and Claude for coming over and cropping with me yesterday it was a lot of fun and we definately have to do it again soon! i created 2 layouts that i'm really happy with.

Baby, it's cold outside!
OUF! i just spent 45min outside shoveling the 2 sets of stairs and walks. Can i just tell you i'm really glad that we pay for snow removal on our 2 parkings! i think there was 12 inches of snow (some places more) and it's still snowing! so i can't imagine shoveling the whole thing by hand. My hats off to those that do it with a shovel!!!
UPDATE: ok, it's 5 hrs later and i just came back from shoveling one of the walks (the one we use, obviously) and i swear there must've been another 8 inches (someplaces where it was windy...12 in!) and of course, it's still snowing.
I don't mind it that much, actually it reminds me of the winters we used to have when i was a kid and the snow banks we 6 feet high and you lost your boots in the snow. We haven't had this must snow in i don't know how long. And to think, last year we didn't even have snow at Christmas! We'll be very fortunate this year!

update
ok, so i know it's been a while since i last updated my blog. Here's what'S been going on.
Mat leave is over, back to work! i found a job at Fruits & Passion as customer service coordinator for independant markets. I also visited my sister in Saskatoon a few weeks ago. i'll post pics later (as soon as i figure out how to download them from my phone) the week i came back from SK, Brady was sick so i missed a day of work and fell down the stairs with Charlie in my arms; sprained my foot and bumped my head. I'm telling you it was a good week...sarcasm!
It's been a little tough getting back into the whole routine, there's just not enough time during the day to do all that i'd like to do. Unfortunetly no new layouts have been created. i did make a chipboard book, but it's not finished yet, i need to put the pics, but so far i think it looks great!
Sorry to everybody on the forums if i've been out of touch lately, i'll get back into the swing of things soon, most likely after the holidays.
Tonight i'm shopping!!!
