here are some miscellaneous pictures from our trip to Mexico, the scuba diving we did there and some pictures of the kids taken at the park last week-end. oh yeah and i slipped one in there of me and Tamara (my best friend from junior/high school) from when i went to spend a week-end with her in Ottawa about 1.5 months ago TFL!

back from vacation

I just came back from a week long vacation in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. It was great! nice (well great) weather, good drinks, good food and i got PADI certified level 1. So obviously we did lots of diving and a little bit of relaxing by the pool and the beach. Unfortunately we would've needed more time to visit some of the great sites like Chitchen Itza, Tulum and Xcaret (which is more of a park) Here are some pics from the trip (they're not as good as i'd like them to be but what can you do...) I'll post the diving pictures later since they're on my hubby's camera and he's gone to Toronto with it. My mom came down from NB to babysit the kids and unfortunately the week was harder than expected. charlie got the flu and gave it to my mom mid-week. When we came back on Sat someone must've still been contagious because hubby and i got it on monday so i missed my first day back at work. We're all ok now and feeling better.

I'm working on my layouts for the Just Cre8 June kit, the reveal was last wednesday and the girls really rocked the kit (it's a little intimidating if you ask me...) i've got 1 done and need 2 more. i should be done this week-end, so check back in soon.

ok so i haven't posted in a while. i couldn't pass up the opportunity to come show you my new layouts made with the yummy May scrap pack from Just Cre8.
for this card i added the felt shapes (robot) from Fancy Pants from my own stash.
and i also did this other layout with some Stampin'Up papers i had bought almost 1 year ago!!!!
and a another card using some of the new Cosmo Cricket papers and black chipboard. TFL!!!

a quick layout i did this morning with my new purchase of Maya Road chipboard purchased at Scrapbook Centrale yesterday and some materials i'd had for a while but hadn't used.

The April kit has been revealed on Just Cre8 along with a new, smaller kit called the scrap pack (that's the one i design for)

my first DT kit

i finally received my first DT kit from Just Cre8! i love mail day when i see the card in the mailbox to go pick up the box at the post office. So this week-end i cre8ted 2 layouts. here's a sneak peek of the yummy kit that will be reveal on JC8 on the 15th.

ok so things on the home front aren't so good... i have a sinusitis (again!) and Charlie has tonsilitis. I didn't go to work today and we spent most of the morning at the clinic. I don't think i'll be going in tomorrow either because he still had a 102 fever before bed tonight. We had a really long night last night, he kept waking up 'cause he was hurting. At 3h30 he decided he wasn't going back to sleep. So i've been up since 3h30 am last night, i was able to take a 1hr nap this afternoon while he slept.

He's getting so good at standing up on his own. he'll stand up not holding onto anything. Yesterday morning he took his first steps! we were in the bathroom and dh was in the shower. Charlie stands up and takes 3 steps, crouches down, stands up again and takes another 3 steps. He hasn't done it since, but it still great!!!

photography challeng

So Melanie on Just Cr8 decided to challenge us to a 30 day photography challenge. We have to try and take 1 pic a day. So i told her i'd participate on the 18th (so i started on the 19th)...i tried really hard to take a picture everyday, but so far i've got maybe 1 every 2 days. So here they are (and really they're not all that gr8) i'm just really bad at downloading them to the computer, so you might get my update once a week or so...

I GOT IT! I GOT! I GOT IT!

OMG! i am soooo excited! Sue from Just Cre8 called me last night to invite me to be on the DT!!! it still all seems like a dream. I am really happy, i was so nervous when i saw all the new talent registering on the site. But it looks like it's finally my turn! I am in very good company with the "old" DT (sorry girls) and the 5 new girls, 2 that i already know; AnnC and ~Caro~! i can't wait to work with you guys!
