so a while back i got the newsletter from Scralet Lime about the SheArt 3 week e-course that Christy was gonna give. I love her canvases they are gorgeous and i've always wanted to try my hand at mixed media, i dabbled in the past but seem to over analyze what i was doing and it never came out the way i would've liked it to. So i have three friends (Erin, JJ and Tchoubi) that are also taking the class, since Tchoubi lives very close to me we decided to get together and work on our first canvas, i had so much fun and i think it helped me to have someone's input on the little things like which paper looked best for her dress. Anyways, here's my very first SheArt canvas, i cannot wait to find time to create another one!
here's a list of the materials i remember using:
6 x 12 canvas, glimmer mist, black ink, Prima tag and papers, old book page, modeling past, burlap, various stamps and rub-ons, paint, punchinello, bubble wrap, damask stencil, black gel pen, liquitex acrylic ink, india ink pen, charcoal metalic paint
that's all i can remember, but i think i got everything. Now onto the second thing - it's sunday and that means another sketch for Paperworks Co. Here's the one i created for this week, hope you like it. It came out beautifully! I can't wait to try my first one (still in NS).
I can't find punchinella. can you believe that? it used to be at the $$ store all the time.
