TESC122-have a rockin' birthday!-CPS177-butterflies
I created this card for the my friend's daughter. She'll be turning 11 this week-end. I've known her since she was 3 yrs old and she is growing up into such a beautiful girl. she's also into card making so for her birthday she will be getting a could of pizza boxes full of paper and embellies from me. I'm cleaning out my stuff and even though it's not new, some papers have never been touched.
I hope she'll like her "new" stuff!
I used some old American Craft papers i had lying around and had never used. the stamp is from Hannah Stamps, i bought this one when they went out of business and i got it for dirt cheap; i thought it might be good for tweens. the rhinestones are from the dollar store and they are lime green, i went over them with a copic (BG45) to get closer to the teal from the leopard print paper.
I also used the sketch #122 from Taylored Expressions and a rub-on from Hambly.
what's in it?
pp: American Craft
stamp: Hannah stamps
ink: memento, versacolor, copics (0-C3-C5-C7-RV13-Y17-BG23-BG45-E31-E35)
other: Hambly rub-on, dollar store gems, pop dots
ok, one more challenge. CPS-card positioning systems #177
thanks for stopping by,

summertime, isn't it wonderful?
This card is for this week's challenge focus at Paperworks Co. I used a gorgeous Rachelle Anne Miller stamp from our newest release, great papers...well, kind of... and i'm only saying "kind of" because the "paper" with the sky, banner and fence is actually a fabric paper from the Dear Lizzie collection. It was just so perfect for this stamp that i couldn't resist using it.
And this is a first for me, i usually do a card for a specific challenge, but as i was blog surfing i found so many good challenges this week that this card actually is good for three challenges out there. To make it even more of a multi-functional card it's also for my friend's niece's first birthday; RAM's images are so wonderful for kids.
here's a peek at the inside
what's in it?
pp: bazzill, prism, AC dear lizzie
stamp: PWCO/RAM-a new adventure
ink: memento, copic (0, C1, C3, C5, W1, W3, W5, W7, E00, E02, E31, E35, E37, E43, E47, E49, YR65, Y21, Y26, YG41, YG91, G00, G02, G07, B0000, B00, B02, R17, R22, RV10)
other: pop dots, red stickles, kaiser pearls, nestabilities, spica glitter pen, white signo pen, fiskars corner punch
challenges i'm submitting this card to:
CAS-tastic challenges - summer theme
A Crafty Little Place - sketch
SB Trends Cards blog - pinwheels - update: they posted the challenge results last night...oops well anyways you can see my card here.

Bellarific Friday - Bella or Stella
for this week's Bellarific friday challenge we had to use either a Bella or a Stella stamp
I'd love to tell you which copics were used but i lost my post-it with my colors, i had colored this image back in June. I paired it up with some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers, oval and large scallop oval nesties, versacolor inks, Doodlebug letter stickers, some kaiser kraft pearls and some AC ribbon (i think it's AC, correct me if i'm wrong)
thanks for dropping by,

Halloween is hoppin' in July
Tiddly Inks is having an early Halloween blog hop. I have quite a few of their images but never get around to using them. So here's my chance!
oh and if you didn't come to my blog from Tiddly Inks but would like to check out the other hoppers here where you can see them: Tiddly Inks challenge blog

I actually had a little accident and got a piece of the paper torn behind her head and i didn't have time to fix it properly, but i think that i will do a few more "distressed" patches on purpose this time. And if it doesn't look good, well i'll just chuck it.
Not to toot my own horn but i do love the coloring on her, especially on the skirt ruffles.
cs: prism
pp: American Craft
stamp: Tiddly Inks-everyday princess
ink: Copics (sorry i lost the post-it that had my colors written on it)
other: Viva decor pen, sparkled plastic dots (super old from my stash, i no longer have the packaging), Zig pen
thanks for stopping by and i hope you're enjoying the hop!

So the stamp i get to showcase is called "Day at the beach"
and here's my card, it's very simple but i like it that way. i put the coordinating sentiment on the inside of the card, it says: "Conquering the world one sandcastle at a time"
I cut out some clouds and a sun and sponged some ink around them. i used a cork sheet for the sand. i just tore strips and inked the edges in brown, i love the way it turned out! and i added shimmer, lots of shimmer. first i used Smooch illuminate and put it everywhere the sunlight would hit; her hat, the sandcastly, the crab, all the seashells have a nice coat of it and the two birds. I also spritz the whole card with iridescent gold glimmer mist, it's pretty subtle though, you have to hold the card in the sunlight to really see it. check out the next pic to see the shimmer, the golden flecks look great on the "cork" sand.
what's in it?
cs: bazzill, Bobunny
stamp: PWCO/RAM-day at the beach
ink: memento, copic (E00, E02, E31, E33, E37, E51, Y17, Y38, YR00, YR02, YR23, YG23, R02, R27, R59, B0000, B00, B02, BG15, BG49, C1, V04, V09, V12)
other: distress inks (broken china, faded jeans, dried marigold, mustard, seed, brushed corduroy), cork sheet, glimmer mist (iridescent gold), smooch illuminate

updates
hi everyone,
sorry i haven't been around much. DH has been on vacation for the past two weeks and wants to do a bunch of activities with the kids. it's been fun but there are a few updates i've forgotten to do.
The first is the announcement for a PWCO blog hop tomorrow; don't miss it Peggy is releasing brand new stamps from Rachelle Anne Miller and of course they are super duper cute!
second; Dave and team Conmed did really good during the "ride against cancer" last week-end. there was 5 guys and 2 girls in the team, the girls decided to stick together since the guys ride faster than they do, but both groups did extreamly well. the guys finished within the top 150 people and the girls were about 50 min behind them.

Pollycraft is having a challenge where you have to use any of the freebies they've given away. if you don't have any of the old ones there are a few new ones still available, just check their blog.
This is actually the first ever freebie i downloaded from Pollycraft. This is actually a wedding card that was specially requested by my mom. It's very bright and unconventional but it looks even better IRL.
what's in it?

PWCO challenge focus
For the month of July at PWCO i get to do the challenge focus. This is actually a great one for me because i always want to do some of the challenges i see out there in blogland, but never find the time (like i said in a prior post...i'm a procrastinator!)
so i decide to do challenge #57 at the Color Chef (see all the details here) green-brown-white
a few notes: i used a toothpick for my flag post and i cut out a cloud shape and sponged some blue around it to create my sky. Of course i'm one that tends to glue as i go and i thought of adding clouds after everything was done so it was a bit more tricky, i had to make sure i didn't sponge blue ink on Zach or my flag. i also used some smooch on this inside of the cloud to add a little something to it. you can see it better on the close-up shot:
what's in it?
cs: bazzill
pp: Jillibean soup
stamp: PWCO-Zach & Zoe - Zach the golfer
ink: memento, copic (0, C1, E00, E02, E31, E77, Y28, YG00, YG03, BG93), distress (broken china)
other: doodlebug frills, fiskars border punch, cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, sponge, smooch (illuminate)
oh yeah! and his hat is not paper-pieced; it's colored with copics :)

last project for the June papercard kit
this is my last project with the June papercard kit. I have to tell you that i have tons left over!
to some of you this might look a little familiar, i've done a cupcake like this before, i just love the look and had to make another one with the delectable paper collection from Doodlebug.
I also used my Martha Stewart cupcake border punch (for the first time!) and lots of sparkles!!! on the yellow dots and lines i used a yellow spica glitter pen and on the brown lines, pink dots and cupcake tops i used some diamond stickles. I also doodled a bubble frame.
As of this saturday i will be doing the challenge focus so come back and check out my project!
