How Many Calories Do I Need? Week #4 Challenge

I am loving Cassey Ho! if you don't know her check out her videos on YouTube. this is this week's challenge, which i thought i'd share with you how to calculate how many calories you need a day. Then after you watch this one, check out her POP pilates videos, they are awesome. I'm just starting a regular exercise routine trying to get in shape for this summer and well...forever. Again this year my new year's resolution is get healthy, get in shape and take better care of myself. I didn't do it last year (shame on me!) i find it hard to find the motivation and the will power to actually do it! In my head i can see myself with 30 lbs less, but let's face it; it won't happen by magic! i have to do the work. I started to eat better 3 weeks ago and i haven't found it incredibly tough so far so maybe my mind is ready to do it, let's hope so... :) i'll keep you guys in the loop of how i'm doing (maybe once a week of something, i'll see...)

ok so this is a good start to the year.  as you've all noticed (for those of you who still check out my blog) i haven't scrapped a layout in quite some time!  So two of my friends are on the "Let's capture these sketches" so i thought i'd check them out and play along. This is for Sketch challenge #114 or 115 i'm not sure since there are two numbers on the blog post... anyhow here it is, i'm only missing Charlie's answers to the questions so i'll do it tomorrow morning.

Merry Christmas and a little card

First of all i want to wish you all a Merry *belated* Christmas, i hope you all had a very special Christmas. I know i haven't been around much but i'm re-evaluating things in my life and trying to decide of what direction i want my blog to take.  Hopefully lots of new things in the new year.  :)

Saturated Canary

Do you know Saturated Canary?  If not you have to go check out Krista's Etsy shop.  She's a great artist and she designs the cutest digi stamps.  i bought a few (ok...i bought 9) and i spent a good part of the day coloring.  Boy had i missed coloring! 
Since moving back into the house i've been busy unpacking and getting back into a regular routine but my mojo is probably still in a box somewhere!  i've had troubles slowly getting back into crafting.  In comes these cute images.  I haven't made the cards but i was so excited after coloring them that i wanted to share them right away.

Happy card making day!

i'm slowly getting back into creating things, even though i miss it terribly i'm in a funk right now, i just don't know where i'm going.  ok so that explains a bit of my absence.

Today is national card making day and we're having a little (ok a few) challenges over at PWCO,
everyone is issuing their own challenge through out the day, the Linkys will be open until 11:59 PM MST on Friday, October 7.  PWCO Images are not required, however, if you use them, you will be entered into the drawings twice.  You may enter as many cards/projects as you like, in as many of the challenges as you like.  Saturday, October 8, one winner from each challenge will be randomly drawn to win a $5 PWCO Gift Certificate!!  (So that's 6 GCs that are up for grabs!)


I'd also like to congratulate Peggy and Mike on today's wedding! i just can't imagine how beautiful it must've been, especially with Hawaii as a background.

So my challenge is this: create your own (it can be anything, your patterned paper, an embellishment, whatever...as long as you created it.)

In my card i created everything. i used some glimmer mist for the background and a very unused sizzix die for the Hawaiian flower and leaves.

New to this release is a color challenge- Each DT member will have a color challenge on their blog – the way we picked our colors, well that's simple they're our wedding colors! Now for me this little bit was a bit harder since i did not have a traditional wedding like most of the other girls.  My hubby and I got married, bare foot in the sand in Negril, Jamaica.  I guess you could say we eloped but it wasn't a secret from our families, we did however throw a really great Jamaican themed BBQ 1.5 months later.  I had invites and a wedding cake, i even put my dress back on to show those who hadn't seen it.   So here is my color challenge, sand and sea colors!  Aquamarine and Ivory (the color of my dress and the sand in Negril)

it's been a while...

somehow it seems that most of my posts lately start with this line....but it's true everytime; it's been a while.

Our house is finally finished, all the little things that were left to do by the contractor are done.  Of course that doesn't mean we're completely settled in.  We moved back first week of June and on june 29th i left for San Francisco with hubby for some work meetings, but i got to tag along which is always nice.  My mom came down to babysit the kids while we were away.  2 days after coming back we drove up to Amos, in the north of Quebec, to bury my dad.  He's finally in his resting place.  My sister cam down from Sk for the burial too, it was nice to see her.  She also had some awesome news to share with us.... she just got engaged!!!!! Congrats sis! Now can i call Brock my brother-in-law???
So with everything that was going on i still have some boxes to unpack, but i must say that it's coming along very well.  I'm really hoping to have everything done by the end of the month, then again we're already the 18th YIKES!!!

Scrappy news!  PWCO is having the next release on July 23rd and i'll be taking part in it.  yes, i still work with PWCO but i'm behind the scenes since i create the sketches and Steph takes care of all the postings.  It's better for me this way right now anyways.  i can't wait to get crafty again!

First off let me apologize for not being able to show you anything new - we've had to move back to the hotel since our lease was up on our temporary house and our "real" home isn't quite finished getting fixed post-fire.  I've had to pack up all my supplies and put the in storage - hopefulyl we'll be moved back in soon.

charlie is famous! and another sketch

last summer I received free t-shirts for charlie in exchange for some photos for Eleise's store website.  Charlie was the model and what a cute model he made, a few months ago i received an email from Eleise to tell me that she finally used Charlie's photos on her new website.  so i quickly checked it out, he's on the homepage and in another place.  You can see him here and here (scroll down to the Mix Tape collection)

in my opinion he's the cutest!!! but I'm not impartial...

ok so i'm really sorry i haven't posted in a while - been really busy with with packing and moving to the hotel.  The lease on the rental house finished last sunday and our house isn't ready yet so we're back at the hotel.  Hopefully we'll be back home by May 1st.
