Here comes the Bride!

HELLO!!!!! welcome to the hop!
If you've arrived here from Alice's blog then your on the right track if not, you might want to go and start the hop from the beginning on the PWCO blog.  I've given you the order of the hop below to help you out.

PaperWorks Co. Blog (kickoff) – www.paperworksco.com/blog

New to this release is a color challenge- Each DT member will have a color challenge on their blog – the way we picked our colors, well that's simple they're our wedding colors! Now for me this little bit was a bit harder since i did not have a traditional wedding like most of the other girls.  My hubby and I got married, bare foot in the sand in Negril, Jamaica.  I guess you could say we eloped but it wasn't a secret from our families, we did however throw a really great Jamaican themed BBQ 1.5 months later.  I had invites and a wedding cake, i even put my dress back on to show those who hadn't seen it.   So here is my color challenge, sand and sea colors!  Aquamarine and Ivory (the color of my dress and the sand in Negril)

You will have 48 hours to enter as many of the colour challenges from the DT blogs as you'd like (one entry per colour challenge), So that means you can get up to 9 entries to win a prize package that will consist of the entire release AND a July PaperCard Kit.  You need to enter by linking up your post(s) through the InLinkz provided on the PWCO Blog - you'll need to create a new post to link up for each entry.

ok enough waiting.... here are my two cards for the release.  We are so lucky to have these great designs by Rachelle Anne Miller, if you like what you see here, don't forget to check out the other RAM stamps in the PWCO store

it's been a while...

somehow it seems that most of my posts lately start with this line....but it's true everytime; it's been a while.

Our house is finally finished, all the little things that were left to do by the contractor are done.  Of course that doesn't mean we're completely settled in.  We moved back first week of June and on june 29th i left for San Francisco with hubby for some work meetings, but i got to tag along which is always nice.  My mom came down to babysit the kids while we were away.  2 days after coming back we drove up to Amos, in the north of Quebec, to bury my dad.  He's finally in his resting place.  My sister cam down from Sk for the burial too, it was nice to see her.  She also had some awesome news to share with us.... she just got engaged!!!!! Congrats sis! Now can i call Brock my brother-in-law???
So with everything that was going on i still have some boxes to unpack, but i must say that it's coming along very well.  I'm really hoping to have everything done by the end of the month, then again we're already the 18th YIKES!!!

Scrappy news!  PWCO is having the next release on July 23rd and i'll be taking part in it.  yes, i still work with PWCO but i'm behind the scenes since i create the sketches and Steph takes care of all the postings.  It's better for me this way right now anyways.  i can't wait to get crafty again!

Come back and visit on July 23rd for the Blog Hop release.  We have a special challenge to go with this release, wait till you see!

First off let me apologize for not being able to show you anything new - we've had to move back to the hotel since our lease was up on our temporary house and our "real" home isn't quite finished getting fixed post-fire.  I've had to pack up all my supplies and put the in storage - hopefulyl we'll be moved back in soon.

OK so now i gave you my excuse for not having a new card for Peggy, I decided to re-post one of my all-time favorite birthday cards.

charlie is famous! and another sketch

last summer I received free t-shirts for charlie in exchange for some photos for Eleise's store website.  Charlie was the model and what a cute model he made, a few months ago i received an email from Eleise to tell me that she finally used Charlie's photos on her new website.  so i quickly checked it out, he's on the homepage and in another place.  You can see him here and here (scroll down to the Mix Tape collection)

in my opinion he's the cutest!!! but I'm not impartial...

ok so i'm really sorry i haven't posted in a while - been really busy with with packing and moving to the hotel.  The lease on the rental house finished last sunday and our house isn't ready yet so we're back at the hotel.  Hopefully we'll be back home by May 1st.

Here is this week's sketch for Paperworks Co.
thanks for stopping by,
Bella

PWCO SS#72 and SheArt canvas

so a while back i got the newsletter from Scralet Lime about the SheArt 3 week e-course that Christy was gonna give.  I love her canvases they are gorgeous and i've always wanted to try my hand at mixed media, i dabbled in the past but seem to over analyze what i was doing and it never came out the way i would've liked it to.  So i have three friends (Erin, JJ and Tchoubi) that are also taking the class, since Tchoubi lives very close to me we decided to get together and work on our first canvas, i had so much fun and i think it helped me to have someone's input on the little things like which paper looked best for her dress.  Anyways, here's my very first SheArt canvas, i cannot wait to find time to create another one!

week 1 - she #1
here's a list of the materials i remember using:
6 x 12 canvas, glimmer mist, black ink, Prima tag and papers, old book page, modeling past, burlap, various stamps and rub-ons, paint, punchinello, bubble wrap, damask stencil,  black gel pen, liquitex acrylic ink, india ink pen, charcoal metalic paint

that's all i can remember, but i think i got everything.  Now onto the second thing - it's sunday and that means another sketch for Paperworks Co.  Here's the one i created for this week, hope you like it.  And don't forget, if you use it please post a link here for your chance to become out next guest sketch designer and for your chance to be entered in our monthly draw to win one of our cute stamps!

it's sunday! time for a sketch!

Hi Everyone,

sorry i've been a little absent, i've had lots of things going on lately and this past week has been making changes and approving the finale plans for the house.  Who knew there was so much to think of!!! I am happy to say that the demolition is done, changing and cleaning the burnt studs - done, changing ALL the insolation (they were all grey due to smoke) - done, smoke smell and particle scealant - done (that stuff stinks!).  The construction to rebuild starts tomorrow!  we did make some modifications to the house, i mean why not fix the things that were bugging us and make it better!  i can't wait to see it all finished.

This week is march break so i might not be around much either, fun things for the house this week: picking out cabinets and i'm hoping tiles and backsplash too! In the meantime here is this week's sketch i designed to Paperworks Co. If you use my sketch don't forget to come post it in the linky thing, at the end of the month we pick a random winner from the month's participants and they win a free stamp!

Have a great day!
Bella

OMG! is THAT a layout!?!?!?

that's right, i actually found some mojo to do a layout.  this is the first one since the fire.  ok, so i didn't really have materials for a while and then i really wanted to make one but the mojo just wasn't there.  I managed to make a few cards in the last couple of months but that was pretty much it.  last month my friend Eliane came over and i was planning on making this exact layout, i knew how i wanted it to look but we ended up not scrapping at all.  for one we talked a lot, which was good - we both needed it.  and two i did try to get started but i just couldn't find that "Oumf" to get started.
BUT last week i went to Scrapbook Centrale to scrap with my girlfriends and i actually managed to start AND finish this layout!  i'm really happy with it.

here are two close ups of the details.  for the flowers on the bottom corner i used the pink paislee/house of three ribbon and just glued them on a 1.5 in double sided tape circle that i punched out of a double-sided adhesive sheet.  Since the Cosmo Cricket Glubers aren't out yet i kinda made my own... the silver and blue are the original colors of the ribbon but the dark grey one used to be white - i sprayed it with Maya Road mist.

materials:
cs: BoBunny
pp: MME
ink: Ranger distress (weathered wood), copic multiliner (black)
other: Pink Paislee/house of three ribbon, Prima bling, Magnolia flowers, Maya Road mist, Maya Road pins, Martha Stewart border punch, Nestabilities Grand Label four
