Bellariffic friday and photos

tomorrow is Bellariffic friday at Stamping Bella's and i am trying to participate more since i have a ton of stamps (i bought a whole bunch, not just 2 or 3, when i was there for the Donna Downey workshops...yes i will post some of my projects soon...just have to finish them)

Emily was away in Europe so the last challenge was given two weeks ago and it was a sketch so i made two cards with it.
the first is the teacher card you saw yesterday

the second i finished this morning.  I used one of Mo's images that was turned to rubber with Stamping Bella, her name is Cinderella of course.  i  modified the sketch a little, flipped it to the side but kept the email right side up, does that make sense?
also entered in the Digital Pencil Too challenge #37 - anything goes!

on to the photos.

tuesday was Brady's last day of school, here's one of the only pictures i took because my battery died.  I used a free Polaroid action i found called Polaroid generator by RawImage

while he was at school Charlie and I visited a friend, we were outside and Charlie had a great time blowing bubbles, he was pretty good too!

this one was modified using Photology 2.0 from Emily Powers
which one do you like better?

well that's it for today!  see you soon with more cards!
Oh! i almost forgot... tomorrow i'll be picking a random commenter from the blog hop to win 2 stamps from the release so you still have time to enter!

Wednesday PWCO kit project / teachers gift

This week I used the June Papercard kit to make a cute little teacher's gift for my son's pre-k teacher.

i know it's been done before but i'm always a little late trying out new tutorials and techniques. It's not because i don't want to but i'm an eternal procrastinator!

these are the measurements for a standard post-it pad.
cut a piece of cardstock 3.5" wide and 7.5" long. On the long side score a line at 3.5" and 4"; fold along the scored lines. Glue a 3" square of patterned papers on the outside and the inside of the top flap. Decorate as you wish, i used some of the dew drops from the kit on my flower centers and added some stickles in pink and light green. Glue your post-it pad on the inside of the bottom flap. I also punched two holes and in the spine 1" from each edge and installed an eyelet with my crop-o-dile. Thread the eyelets with a ribbon and tie a bow.

I don't know if it shows much but i also used a piece of the same patterned paper on the inside of the pen casing. That's very easy to do. unscrew the bottom of the pen (or top in some cases) tightly wrap a small piece of patterned paper around the ink tube and reinsert, shake a bit to loosen it up and screw cap back on. It looks really cool too with a piece of glittered paper!!!

What's in it?
June papercard kit (bazzill cardstock, doodlebug patterned paper, ribbon, dew drops)
other: WRMK eyelets, stickles

I also made a card to go with it using this really cool Stamping Bella stamp and this week's Bella challenge.
and here's the card on it's own

what's in it?
cs: bazzill
pp: Cosmo Cricket
stamp: Stamping Bella
ink/markers: memento, Copics
other: nestabilities big scallop rectangle, Prima flowers and bling, Heidi Swapp distresser tool, pop dots

thanks for dropping by,

PWCO BLOG

Zach and Zoe are back in the second sports series.  I have the honor of showcasing Zoe the Gymnast; isn't she the cutest?

I will be giving out a RAK to a lucky commenter. As well, Peggy will be picking a lucky commenter from the blog of one of the DT members for the grand prize; the whole set release + a bonus stamp.
bonus stamp??? what's that you ask?
Well Peggy designed a couple of bonus stamps for the Zach and Zoe sports series.  If you purchase the bundle set you will receive the bonus stamp for free.  IF you have purchased the complete first sports series Peggy will send you the bonus stamp.

ok now for my creation with the lovely Zoe the gymnast.
i paper-pieced her body suit and the base of the gymnastic apparel (sorry don't know what it's called)

what's in it?
ink/markers: memento, copics (E00, E02, E29, E33, E35, E43, W1)
other:  Nestabilities, font (good dog), pop dots, glue dots,  Martha Stewart glitter, diamond glaze

i tried the quilling technique to make the flowers.  I just love how they turned out and you will probably see more of them on some future cards! (maybe bigger...)

Now please visit Lisa T's blog to continue on your way through our blog hop.
Once you are done, drop by the Paperworks Co store... ALL the stamps will be 10% off (it will be automatically deducted from your invoice)

Thank you for coming by and don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win some goodies!

get well soon card

this week i made a very simple "get well soon" card. I used my friend Juliana's tutorial on making this type of flower. it's really simple, punch out a circle- here i used a 2in circle punch from fiskars, fold the circle in half and then fold into 3 triangles accordian style. i drew some stitches and placed a button as the center.

What's in it?

all items are from the June papercard kit.

paper: bazzill, doodlebug

button: basic grey

ribbon: doodlebug or bazzill (not sure which one)

don't forget to check out the blog hop for the new stamp release!!!

PWCO june kit and Happy birthday Babe!

Hi All!
I hope you've been enjoying meeting all the new DT members.
I am so happy that i got to play with the June papercard kit because i'm a huge fan of this  doodlebug collection, you know, the one with all the yummy cupcakes on it! sorry i don't know the name of the collection.
I used this week's sketch as inspiration and decided to not use a stamp on my card, instead i doodled a cute little cupcake. I also chose to leave it non-colored, no reason really, i just like the way it looked.  I hope you do to!
what's in it?
June papercard kit (bazzill cs, doodlebug pp, dewdrops)
other: pop dots, black pen

It's also my hubby's birthday today!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE.....LUV YA!
have a great week!

are you a prince? (CPS170)

i've created this frog prince card for Jayme.  She is Lisa C's (past PWCO DT member) sister who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Unfortunately this hits very close to home for me since my dad's bladder cancer has come back after having had a bladder removal and urostomy done.  It is considered a metastatic cancer which means that it has spread from the original cancer and is now in his system.  He is currently undergoing chemo treatments to give him more time but ultimately it will kill him.  I'm being blunt but that's what it is.
For that reason, I wanted to send this card to Lisa's sister.  You can read a bit more about Lisa and Jayme here.  Jayme collects frogs and Lisa has requested we send frog themed cards to her sister.  seriously, how cute is this digi image from Tiddly Inks?  and the paper? it's from Magenta ink; also very adorable!
I also used the CPS sketch #170 for this card

copics used: G00-G02, G07, G28, BG10, Y11, Y17
also used: white gel pen, fiskars circle punch, dimensinal tape.
